His doing a 180 on the freeway,
Riding towards the igneous sunset,
Heading for the bridge near the bay,
To that spot where they first met,
He finds peace whenever his here,
The setting sun always relaxes him,
The sky orange with a tinge of azure,
His view of the sea starts to dim,
Other than the atmosphere and view,
Memories would soon fill his mind,
He wished to relive every one anew,
He wanted to leave the future behind,
This was where their paths crossed,
Broken hearts with a different story,
Lost souls sad, lonely and confused,
Both looking for a moment of revelry,
He decides to walk over to her slowly,
She looks at him and lets out a smile,
They just watched the sunset quietly,
Both longed for the silence for awhile,
As the sun let out its one final glow,
And the moon appears to take its place,
They finally turned and said "Hello",
Moonlight illuminating her angelic face,
They then spent hours together,
Hours eventually turning into days,
Days led to the promise of forever,
But forever is a word that never stays,
Forever broke and it became whenever,
Whenever ended and it became soon,
Soon stopped and it became never,
Never stayed on just like the moon,
It was like a fairy tale in the beginning,
With a sweet love story in the middle,
But there's always a twist in the ending,
A dreaded answer to an obvious riddle,
Listening to the soft crash of the waves,
And staring at the sky filled with stars,
He finally wipes his tears on his sleeves,
And moves away from the steel bars,
As he rides off into the velvet night,
She finally arrives but its a little too late,
He rides down the road devoid of light,
At that moment there's a twist of fate,
In the distance she hears a loud crash,
Driving towards that sickening noise,
In her mind unwanted images flash,
She starts hearing his sweet voice,
She finds him in a pool of blood motionless,
He wipes her tears and says "I'll be better",
She cries as she held him close in the mess,
With his last breath all he said was "Forever".
