Emoetry - Hush

Hush…that's what she said as she placed her index finger on my lips,
As soon as her finger lifted…we found ourselves locked in a passionate kiss,
My hands moved lower down her body and held her tight around her hips,
It was at that moment…I knew I had found my very own version of bliss,

Hush…that's what she said as we stood atop the car park staring at the stars,
I stood silent…eyes transfixed on the silhouette that is her body in the dark,
I catch a glimpse of her beautiful face from the moonlight and lights of passing cars,
It was at that moment…I knew that this was definitely more than a spark,

Hush…that's what she said as we laid on my bed in each others embrace,
The silence broken by the melody of pouring rain hitting hard on the roof tiles,
I held her close…matched her breathing and felt my heart race,
It was at that moment…I knew I wanted this to last for more than "just awhile",

Hush…that was the last thing she said to me as she walked away,
Back to the arms of another who deserved her more than I ever will,
I flashed her a smile…the one that shows her that I am and will be okay,
It was at that moment…I knew what was coming was more than a bitter pill,

Hush…that was what I said to myself to keep my heart from breaking,
Even though the tears had already started forming and falling from my eyes,
I knew this was never going to end up where I wanted it…I should've seen it coming,
It was at this moment…I knew this is what happens when you fall in love with lies.

Emoetry - Break

You find yourself awake at 3 in the morning,
With slivers of light breaking through the curtain,
As the skies are filled with flashes of lightning,
And crashes of thunder highlight the presence of rain,

You on the other hand are stifling the surge of emotions,
And holding back the wave of tears that is set to follow,
As the darkness in your mind brings out the demons,
That have found their way into your heart that feels hollow,

You close your eyes only to be met with flashbacks,
Of the countless mistakes that you've made,
Further feeding your demons for their eventual attack,
You then think of your regrets which sharpens their blades,

You start to gasp for air and start taking deep breaths,
Only to feel as though you're suffocating further,
And all you can hope for is a quick and painless death,
This is when you start believing in a Heavenly Father,

You feel the pain of wounds that slowly start to show,
A stark reminder of the countless times you've fallen,
With the results being skinned knees and grazed elbows,
Leaving you feeling a little worst for wear and downtrodden,

You keep telling yourself that there is no end to this nightmare,
That you're destined to walk a lonely path of pain and sorrow,
You're convince that you will never escape from the devil's lair,
And all that's left for you is despair and a darker tomorrow,

But know this o'child of the Earth and His kingdom,
The darkness, sorrow and pain never lasts,
For you will find the strength, resolve and wisdom,
To realise that all these demons and ghosts are in the past,

Dig down deep and realise that you are more than your mistakes,
Dig down deep and let go of your doubts and regrets,
You will learn that your soul may bend but it never breaks,
And you will learn that each mistake you’ve made are actually assets,

If you ever feel lost in the midst of the fog and darkness,
All you have to do is reach your hand out and say a little prayer,
And your guardian angels will lead you out of the madness,
Into days where things will seem much brighter,

Because just like the street lights that come through your curtain in slivers,
The light always finds a way to make it to the darkest corners,
When all seems bleak and hopeless; remember this o'child,
You are loved and the world wants to see your smile.

Emoetry - U.I.

I went to bed angry,
But woke up with tears in my eyes,
With thoughts fuzzy and vision blurry,
Wondering why my love for you won't die,

I stare at the blank walls,
Of what was once our home... Now my prison,
And a floor that is laid out with pitfalls,
And rooms and halls filled with demons,

I wonder how did you feel,
When you walked away from what we had,
Because your freedom left me encased in steel,
The silence and loneliness slowly driving me mad,

I get up to stand on my two feet,
Only for my knees to buckle under the weight,
I guess this is my taste of defeat,
But strangely I feel no anger or hate,

I sit on the floor in a state of confusion,
Instead of missing you less each day,
And wanting to get away from this complication,
I seem to be missing you more in every way,

I dust myself off and use the bed for leverage,
And walk towards the closed door,
Telling myself I will learn to manage,
On my own... without you for awhile more,

I feel the sunshine hit me as the door opens,
It instantly reminds me of the warmth of you,
Immediately my heart and soul is awoken,
And I immediately stop feeling so blue,

I know even though you are no longer here,
You still have a piece of my heart in your hands,
Which is why I must stay strong and persevere,
Until you return so we can finally make amends.

Emoetry - If We Never

If we never met,
I wonder where our lives would be,
You'd be a lot happier I bet,
Living a life without the memory of me,

If we never said hello,
I wonder if we'd end up here today,
Both feeling a little hollow,
And "sorry" is all that we have to say,

If we never went for our first date,
I wonder if I would have been happy for six years,
But then again...maybe it wasn't our fate,
Especially after all the fights and tears,

If we never had our first kiss,
I wonder if things would have ended up this messy,
And now you're the one that I constantly miss,
During rainy days or even when it is sunny,

If we never fell in love,
I wonder if you'd have found someone better,
Your true guardian angel sent from up above,
Who'd shower you with flowers and love letters,

If we never had those petty and stupid fights,
I wonder if you'd still be with me right now,
Holding me through my darkest days and nights,
Calming me with your bright and loving glow,

If we never ended up where we are currently,
I wonder if you'd still want to have time apart,
From me and everything we've built loftily,
Because you still hold the very key to my heart,

If we never speak to each other again,
I wonder if you'd still think of us once in awhile,
And I hope you'd be able to forget all the pain,
And once again show the world your beautiful smile,

If we never get a chance to see each other,
I wonder if I'll still be left here wondering,
What life would be like if you loved another,
While I'm left here in a standstill and hoping,

If you never ever want to come back,
I wonder if I'd ever be able to forget the one I lost,
Because you were the one keeping my life on track,
Which is why losing you in my life has been the worst.

Emoetry - Crash

As he sits and listens to the waves crash,
With a cigarette now mostly ash,
His mind wanders to memories of the past,
And how things spiraled out of control so fast,

There are days that leave him empty and in a daze,
And there are others that leave him in an inescapable maze,
His own little hell of anger, confusion, sadness and pain,
A place he swore that he would never be in again,

But how could he have seen in coming?
The eventual crash of everything he had hoped for,
But how could he have stopped what he was feeling?
Well....quite frankly, he has actually been here before,

So he should have known better than to fight the "good fight",
He should have stopped being so arrogant and defiant,
He should have just thrown in the towel when it was right,
But no...he just had to topple this imaginary giant,

For it was something that would have given him closure,
And it was something that would free him from his torment,
But in the end...it was just a giant mountain of manure,
Leaving him with nothing but a hard fall to the cement,

Once again his self-confidence had gotten the better of him,
When common sense and logic should have taken over,
Now all that is left is little to no hope that flickers so dim,
And a memory that he didn't expect to be this sour,

Once again he listens to the waves crash,
As blood escapes the wound of the slash,
And drips into the ocean and slowly drifts away,
Just like that "perfect" moment he let go of that day.

Emoetry - Last

If I could find a way back to your heart,
I'd make so it'll never fall apart,
Because at the end of it all,
You've picked me up every time I fall,

If I could find a way to be part of your soul,
I'd make it so that we'll always be whole,
Because you and I are one,
Like a knot that should never be undone,

If I could find a way to hold your hand,
I'd make it so that our story will never end,
Because my heart feels empty without you,
As I'm left here lost... Not knowing what to do,

If I could find a way to make you smile again,
I'd make it so I'd erase all the hurt & pain,
Because I'm hoping you'd forgive me,
So I could finally set you free,

If I could find a way to give you one last kiss,
I'd make it so I won't be the one that you miss,
Because I've become the biggest mistake,
That you've ever had the misfortune to make,

If I could find a way to turn back time,
I'd make it so I'd never have to write this rhyme,
Because with it comes a heart I've broken,
And a beautiful life I've stolen,

If I only could,
I definitively would,
Now I know I should,
Too late.... I was never good.

Emoetry - Escape

She held out her hands,
And invited me to dance in the rain,
I let out a huff and that was the end,
And yet she continued to try in vain,

She called to me to follow,
Her on to the roof to look at the stars,
I shook my head and said no,
Turning away before I could see her tears,

She tugged at the sleeve of my shirt,
Beckoning me to take a walk with her,
I dismissed her idea as if it were dirt,
Dismissing how I was pushing her away further,

She stood there right in front of me,
As she cried and poured her heart out,
I stood there thinking about the pain I wrought,
To this individual of immense beauty,

She turned and walked away,
Not looking back at the hell I created,
I reached out for her but to my dismay,
All I get a hold of is memories that I tainted,

I walked out into the unexpected thunderstorm,
To feel the rain drops touch my skin,
But what I really want is to feel her warmth,
And for her to say she forgives my sins,

But that's all a dream that I can just hope for,
In the end, I pray she gets all that she deserves,
Love, happiness, companionship and so much more,
With someone whose love for her is never reserved.

Emoetry - Fade

Huddled in the corner of a room,
Arms wrapped around his knees,
His world is now in a vacuum,
Where all that's left is debris,

The silence is deafening,
Despite the laughter coming from the hall,
The memories come crashing,
Despite him not thinking about anything at all,

He is surrounded by reminders,
Of how they once lived their lives together,
From the photos to the clothes to the perfume,
Items that now just leave him dazed and confused,

All he wants is just to hold her once more,
To hold her hands that caressed and nursed him,
He wished she'd appear and walk through the door,
But all he is left with is shadows in his world so dim,

He longs to hear her call his name again,
The voice of his very own guardian angel,
That soothes and takes away all his pain,
But all he is left with is the taunts of the devil,

He dreams of looking into her eyes,
Ones that once looked at him with love and adoration,
The ones he swore to wipe whenever she cries,
But it was he who caused them to lose passion,

He knew all along it was his own doing,
That she was already gripping at the end of the rope,
And yet it all remained the same and he did nothing,
Now all that he's left with is hope beyond hope.

Emoetry - Inevitable

Hey, its me again,
That voice inside your head,
The one you locked away in vain,
It feels good to be back from the dead,

Hey, don't you love this feeling?
Knowing I'm in your brains whispering?
And as I free myself I'm scratching and clawing,
Through your soft and tender heart that's beating,

Hey, why'd you try to drown me?
Wasn't I everything you couldn't be?
Did you think you'd be totally free?
I know I'm the only vision you see,

Hey, it was inevitable that I would return,
Returning with a match ready to burn,
Lighting your inspiration that's been taciturn,
Killing the boredom that you spurn,

Hey, folks, I'm back!

Emoetry - Forever

His doing a 180 on the freeway,
Riding towards the igneous sunset,
Heading for the bridge near the bay,
To that spot where they first met,

He finds peace whenever his here,
The setting sun always relaxes him,
The sky orange with a tinge of azure,
His view of the sea starts to dim,

Other than the atmosphere and view,
Memories would soon fill his mind,
He wished to relive every one anew,
He wanted to leave the future behind,

This was where their paths crossed,
Broken hearts with a different story,
Lost souls sad, lonely and confused,
Both looking for a moment of revelry,

He decides to walk over to her slowly,
She looks at him and lets out a smile,
They just watched the sunset quietly,
Both longed for the silence for awhile,

As the sun let out its one final glow,
And the moon appears to take its place,
They finally turned and said "Hello",
Moonlight illuminating her angelic face,

They then spent hours together,
Hours eventually turning into days,
Days led to the promise of forever,
But forever is a word that never stays,

Forever broke and it became whenever,
Whenever ended and it became soon,
Soon stopped and it became never,
Never stayed on just like the moon,

It was like a fairy tale in the beginning,
With a sweet love story in the middle,
But there's always a twist in the ending,
A dreaded answer to an obvious riddle,

Listening to the soft crash of the waves,
And staring at the sky filled with stars,
He finally wipes his tears on his sleeves,
And moves away from the steel bars,

As he rides off into the velvet night,
She finally arrives but its a little too late,
He rides down the road devoid of light,
At that moment there's a twist of fate,

In the distance she hears a loud crash,
Driving towards that sickening noise,
In her mind unwanted images flash,
She starts hearing his sweet voice,

She finds him in a pool of blood motionless,
He wipes her tears and says "I'll be better",
She cries as she held him close in the mess,
With his last breath all he said was "Forever".

Emoetry - Gone

Pieces of me fall to the ground,
But I move on without a sound,
As I slowly stop and turn around,
The old me is nowhere to be found,

The memories that used to remain,
In the darkest corners of my brain,
Which caused all the hurt and pain,
Were never thought of ever again,

Deep down in me there was a secret,
It was a secret that filled me with fret,
Time spent with you was hard to forget,
Yet now I'm moving on without regret,

Losing you was what I really needed,
Just another chapter in life that ended,
The chapter that I would have avoided,
But its made me learn to be grounded,

I'm asking you to take a look at me now,
And see how time has made me grow,
Our ending a new beginning somehow,
Memories of us now just an afterglow,

You may have been the sweetest one,
Yet you left me afraid, frail and alone,
But after all that's been said and done,
I thank you because the old me is gone.

Emoetry - Easter Wonder

In the room with a closed door,
Only silence is heard in the hall,
Posters strewn across the floor,
Instead of staying put on the wall,

Sitting silently on a tatty mattress,
Brooding under a hooded sweater,
Breathing in dust from the mess,
Writing on a used piece of paper,

Determined to finish his last poem,
His greatest piece of work ever,
Writing the Lord's beautiful anthem,
And how God made his life better,

He thanks God for giving him life,
He thanks God for the people he loves,
He thanks God for keeping them safe,
He thanks God for the bread loaves,

He thanks God for Jesus,
He thanks Jesus for taking his place,
Forgiving his sins in a way so glorious,
That thoughts of it makes him rejoice,

The moment he finishes writing,
He throws open the curtains,
Gets on his knees and starts praying,
Thanking God for easing the pains,

He stands up and spreads his wings,
Stands on the window sill to the roof,
He looks up to the skies and sings,
That God is the one and only proof,

Dreaming of this glorious day,
Ever since he was just only seven,
He was ready to make his way,
To be by God's side in heaven.

I thank God for every moment I'm alive,
I thank God for forgiving all of my sins,
I thank God for teaching me how to love,
I thank God for breaking my chains,

God gives me strength,
God saves me from evil,
God is with me on Earth,
God hides me from the devil,

My lord God is indescribable,
My lord God is unchanging,
My lord God is a love miracle,
My lord God is alive and living.

Thank You for everything Father.
In Jesus's name I pray.
Amen.

Emoetry - Sing

I sing; While she falls asleep,
It helps casts her worries away,
Peaceful; In a dream so deep,
I sing because she promised to stay,

I sing; While she's sick,
Songs are a miracle medication,
Better; As she recovers quick,
I sing because she's my addiction,

I sing; While she's fuming mad,
Just to calm and soothe her soul,
Calm; Things no longer seem bad,
I sing because she made me whole,

I sing; While she's on bed crying,
Hoping to stop her falling tears,
Happy; Its great to see her smiling,
I sing because she killed my fears,

I sing; While she's feeling euphoric,
The songs just adds to the memories,
Free; Life with her is always idyllic,
I sing because she stifled my cries,

I sing; As she wakes in the morning,
While she's bathed in sunshine,
Alive; She's the reason I'm living,
I sing because she's mine.

Emoetry - Burning

Sitting quietly in the dark,
Searching for an inspiration,
Waiting for a poetic spark,
Finding a needed revelation,

The room is lit by candle light,
I watched the flames flicker,
Something doesn't feel right,
I pause and start to wonder,

Everything was quite a blur,
Like the line between the smoke,
And flame which lost its fervour,
When my chain of thought broke,

Something struck me in the face,
It was quick; I never saw it coming,
And it was gone without a trace,
It felt like my head was burning,

I smelled the ashes of my skin,
Watching embers fall to the ground,
The burning continues deep within,
The flames searing and soul bound,

It consumed my soul in a fiery blaze,
It made my heart pound furiously,
Leaving me in confused and in a daze,
Yet it left me euphoric surprisingly,

Like a torrent of unsurpassed passion,
A much needed surge of emotion,
A welcomed poetic blood transfusion,
Poetry was finally back in motion,

Thanks to that burning candle,
Which has melted into my heart,
Making every complication bearable,
Making my life into a work of art.

Emoetry - Leaving Me, Loving You

Standing on the summit,
Watching another sunrise,
On the soft green grass I sit,
With a calm; stoic disguise,

The flow of the cool breeze,
Sets my trapped soul free,
I wish this scene could freeze,
Stopping the sway of every tree,

The warmth of the rising sun,
Heats up my cold empty soul,
Sitting up here used to be fun,
When you and I were a whole,

This is where we shared our bliss,
Where we confessed our feelings,
Where we shared our first kiss,
Where we had our secret meetings,

Every single moment here felt right,
When you let out your sweet charm,
When you were silhouetted by sunlight,
When you hung on tightly to my arm,

You made my world more than fine,
With your beautifully angelic smile,
With your sweet cherry lips on mine,
You made living seem worthwhile,

The moment you left my soul died,
Your absence has torn me to pieces,
The moment you left I was denied,
Your absence is now a sufferances,

My ice cold facade falls apart,
Eyes filled with sickening tears,
I feel a sharp pain in my heart,
I'm living in a nightmare of fears,

Lifting my head to the heavens,
I pray for an angel to take me away,
I start hearing the caws of ravens,
But God says "No my child; not today",

That is when I feel the cool air,
With the sweet scent of roses,
I feel fingers run through my hair,
And taste lips from sweet kisses,

I open my eyes ever so slowly,
Afraid of the blinding light,
I now see your outline so clearly,
You held me in your arms so tight,

You whispersed "I'm sorry I left you",
"Its something I'll never do again",
"Please forgive me for all the pain",
All I said was "I love you too".

Emoetry - Sweet Addiction

I have an addiction,
To poetry in motion,
Its a spicy temptation,
Life and every creation,

But my greatest addiction,
Is my greatest possession,
Or my greatest affliction,
It leads me on a mission,

What do I choose to abuse?
What lights my poetic fuse?
Who is this so called muse?
What is it that I choose?

To put it very simply,
Its how you love me,
To put it very sweetly,
Its how we're meant to be,

Its your hugs and kisses,
That keeps me living,
You've fulfilled all my wishes,
But I still keep on wishing,

For us to be this way forever,
To you I'll never say never,
You're the greatest drug ever,
Yes you; my sweet lover.

Emoetry - She Stands There

She stands there waiting,
In a beautiful flowing gown,
She stands there crying,
With a very cute frown,

She stands there wiping,
Her tears that flow slowly,
She stands there staring,
As I walk over to her calmly,

She stands there stoically,
As I wipe her tears gently,
She stands there confused,
As I smile like I'm amused,

She stands there steadily,
As I hugged her tightly,
She stands there smiling,
As we slowly start kissing,

She stands there waiting,
Still with a smile on her face,
Its not me she's missing,
As it wasn't my time or place.

Emoetry - It Started With A Blink

I see something blink,
In the dark night sky,
It makes me think,
What if I could fly,

Where would I go?
Could I be with you?
Even if it were so,
Are these feelings true?

I ask myself silly questions,
Which make me hesitate,
And break into little fractions,
These are the feelings I hate,

Not being able to tell you how I feel,
Not being able to be by your side,
Feeling your breath so real,
I want to know why do I run & hide?

Emoetry - More Than Bloodline

We met four years back,
In a place that felt like hell,
Where skies were pitch black,
And leaves constantly fell,

The moment we clicked,
Situations drastically changed,
It was a friendship that worked,
No longer were we estranged,

We spent endless hours at night,
At the point of pointlessness,
Till the arrival of the bright sun light,
With unending topics of madness,

We've shared moments of bliss,
And also shared moments of pain,
Good times; moments I miss,
Bad times; never again,

I've found the greatest of friends,
Who've been there for me always,
I pray our friendship never ends,
We'll be friends till the end of days.

To my blood brothers,
I'd take a bullet for you,
To my beloved sisters,
I'll always watch out for you,

I write and dedicate,
This poem to my "family",
Amazing how we met by fate,
I love all of you sincerely.

Emoetry - Answering Dreams

It was passed midnight,
I was close to sleeping,
Under the moonlight,
With crickets chirping,

The silence is broken,
By a "handy" cellphone,
Immediately I awaken,
To silence the ring tone,

I answered the call,
I mumbled a "hello",
One of my pillows fall,
I stop felling mellow,

After a minute or two,
There was still no reply,
I had no idea what to do,
I waited as time passed by,

I started to count sheep,
And I said "hello" again,
I was ready to fall asleep,
"Rest now" said my brain,

I did my best to stay awake,
To the monotonous silence,
I said "Oh for God's sake!",
Thinking of a next sentence,

I hear an unfamiliar voice,
It captured my attention,
Even through the noise,
Awaiting a connection,

I heard it again once more,
A voice strangely missed,
My ear was getting sore,
But I wasn't even pissed,

The line started to clear,
I heard her voice perfectly,
Her sweet voice so dear,
The one I missed so badly,

We both had loads to say,
We spoke till daybreak,
A start of another day,
The end of heartache,

I could hear her sighs,
I didn't want this to end,
It was time for goodbyes,
Time wasn't being a friend,

We both hit the "red" button,
That's when my eyes opened,
Head still on very soft cotton,
It was only a dream that ended,

She was by my side all this while,
Dreaming calmly without a care,
Asleep with a beautiful smile,
Radiant like a flower so rare,

I kissed her whilst holding her,
Feeling her warmth was all I need,
I prayed we'll be this way forever,
Forever living in a dream indeed.
